CANDY SUTHERLAND
Candy is a Remedial Massage Therapist registered with Massage New Zealand and has gained her Diploma in Massage Therapy from the Canterbury College of Natural Medicine (CCNM). She also has a Post Graduate Certificate in Advanced Sports Massage and a Certificate in Reflexology, and is interested in Ayurvedic Medicine, also currently fascinated with the myofascial system and various techniques of release. Candy is passionate about massage and the positive effects it offers. Not only does it assist in reducing pain, improving the body’s range of motion, but it also provides a psychological and emotional boost benefiting the whole body. Candy works with a variety of clients from elite athletes, yogi’s, mums to office workers, focusing on injury rehabilitation and reducing the effects of chronic conditions improving postural awareness and overall well being of her clients. Candy also works with many pregnant women through the duration of their pregnancies. On a personal level Candy is passionate about yoga and has a good “vocabulary” of stretches which she would like to share with you if need be.
JANE RIACH
Jane has a Diploma in Massage Therapy from the Canterbury College of Natural Medicine. She also holds qualifications in Thermal Stone Massage, Myofascial release and Reiki. Asa Remedial Massage Therapist with Massage New Zealand, Jane has an ongoing obligation and committment to keep up to date with the latest bodywork developments. Currently Jane is three quarters of the way through an Advanced Sports Massage Qualification at CCNM. Jane has worked with a wide variety of clients from pregnant women, sports people, OOS sufferers, those with chronic conditions and the elderly, to those looking for stress relief and relaxation. She is excited about the benefits of massage which include decreased pain, increased mobility, enhanced sports performance, better sleep patterns and a general feeling of well being. ABBIE PETERS
Abbie has grown up and studied in Christchurch, achieving a Batchelor of Arts Degree in English and Classics, and living in various beautiful locations around the South Island. She then embarked on the kiwi adventure of travelling and living overseas for many years, and pursuing her passion for snowboarding in the French Alps. This experience sparked an interest in massage and the natural therapies, drawing her back 'home' to Christchurch to begin training in the field of bodywork and rehabilitation.
Having completed her Diploma in Massage Therapy at the Canterbury College of Natural Medicine, she is now a registered remedial Massage therapist (RMT) with the Massage Association of New Zealand. She enjoys working with a variety of clients from chronic conditions, sports people and pregnancy to those simply looking for some rest and relaxation. From her many years involved in the service industry as well as travelling the world, Abbie is passionate about people and their needs and wants. She enjoys creating a customised massage treatment to address the individual needs of people - helping them relax, rejuvenate and realign.
On a personal level Abbie enjoys yoga, snowboarding, running, swimming, and good friends. She is positive and motivated by the results both physically and mentally that massage therapy can offer and is interesting in continuing her education in the work of body therapies.
NICOLA PRICE
Nicola has completed her Master's training in NLP and is also a qualifidied Massage Therapist. She has many years experience in developing the potential of her clients, here in Christchurch, as well as abroad in New York and London. Her passion is in sustainability, with a focus on the individual. If we as humans can get more from our lives with less input, it will naturally have a flow on effect to those around us, including our physical environment.
Nicola delights in seeing the changes and growth in her clients lives subsequent to a session with her. She continuously studies in a variety of complementary therapies, including the influence of diet, exercise and the mind on dis-eases and chronic conditions. She enjoys the fact that real change can occur effortlessly, at the deepest level in a person’s life, helping them to move forward.
She likes spending time with others, and currently donates time in the community by running leadership and communication workshops. Nicola is a qualified massage therapist, maternity nanny and has a degree in business and marketing.
